420A Removing 420a CV axles?

I'm having trouble removing the driver side cv axle on my 420a because there's a bracket attached to transmission preventing from using a pry bar or even a cv axle adapter to remove it any suggestions

Unbolt the bracket and pull the axle. I've had 2 420a powered DSMs and don't recall a bracket being there, but still just unbolt it.
