removed dash, pop up headlights not working now

Well I removed my dash which of course included the "pop-up switch". Now my headlights are stuck up. I did manually put them down with the manual knobs but the regular headligh switch no longer pops them back up. I am guessing the "pop-up switch" needs to be grounded or something?? I am unsure of what pin and connector it is. By that way the dash was removed because its a race car.

Double check that you didn't switch the fog light plug and the pop-ups. They're the same size plug.

I no longer have eithter of those switches in the car, they are in the dash which is sitting in my basement. I have a custom aluminum dash now...

That is your problem. You have to have the pop up switch in for the lights to work. It is part of the circuit. Just slap it in the dash. I don't think the weight will be any hinderance. Otherwise check your wiring diagrams and wire it together. I'd prefer to have the switch in case I need to work in the area but don't want my driving lights on or don't want to disconnect the battery.

I do want to put the switch back in. But I am not sure where it plugs in. I will have to look at the harness.
