those are probably the shims for the lifters

Yes they are just pull the lifters and drop one in there make sure it's flat put it back.

They go on the bottom of each lifter. But you may not need them but make sure you bleed the lifters before you reassemble the head. I learned the hard way 6 vavles later.

I got mine from ffwd that came with but the directions said "may be needed" not all motors are the same nor are every re-grind.

A lot of people let the car sit for a few hours after doing the cam installation, it gives the lifters time to bleed out. But I do agree, if you want to just drop them in and be 100% sure nothing will go wrong, bleeding the lifters is your best bet.

They are to shim the lifters. You need to install the cams with the lifters blead. After, look at a lifter that the cam lobes arent pressing down on the rocker. The lifters should be pressed in a little bit. Not all the way but at least a 1/4 of there full travel. If the lobes arent pressing them in or arent touching the rockers your gunna need those shims installed. I had to do it with my FFWD DKS280s
