Recondition intercooler or buy new

so i have leak in the intercooler. this is a 500$ intercooler alone. should i have it welded and reconditioned locally or buy new? just wanting some thoughts. Ive never delt with aluminum welders on this scale.

I think it depends on where the leak is. They might be able to fix some, and might not be able to fix other parts.

so, i found out I was wrong, and the intercooler is actually from HKS , off of a skyline. I dont even know how someone aquires such a piece. I hate to toss it and I hate P.O. stories! I did research and the intercooler is actually a model that is out dated but very sought after. im thinking its time to replace it as a whole.

Thats a good idea.. I founds a newer style "greddy" for 50$ so im going to jump on that. They want more than that just to weld it
