Could someone suggest the shop/individual I can have confidence in to rebuild my faithful 1G engine that is approaching 180,000 miles? In addition to changing the timing belt and supporting belts/gaskets I want to do some mild upgrading like 2G pistons, honed and polished, ARP studs, Clevite bearings. Nothing extreme, just want the engine to be cleaned up and run like new again. :D
I live in Laramie, WY so a shop in or around Denver or northern Colorado is what I am looking for. Any experiences you have had around the area would be most helpful.

Charlie Sikes- ADC racing engines, WY
Tom Bush- Thompson valley machine, Loveland, CO

both have built engines for me, nice work. tom is a little more expensive but his head work is better!

If you supply the pistions, Tom will do a full rebuild of your bottom end for around $850 including new bearings, rings, clean the block, paint block and polish the crank ect. Don't expect theys guys to install pistions only without new rings and bearing.

Also check AMS in Fort Collins. They did an awesome job on my Audi head. :thumb:
