okay long story short.

I got a full upper innercooler pipe and a greddy type RS installed the other day. I tryed to vent. failed. i stall out striaght up. boom stall. would tighten up the bov adjustment help this?

well because it's a aftermarket pipe, bov, and intake pipe (injen) the stock hose doesn't reach. its just like 1 or 2 inches too short. so to stock from stalling i had to find a hose to fit. i ended up using some radiator hose. and now i don't stall.

the problem is raidator hose is pretty solid stuff, and now i can't hear the bov for ****. i mean its probably 80% of what it was stock. I feel like i wasted a bunch of time and money, and didn't even get any sound. what direction of adjusting would be best? hard or soft? i really have no idea how to adjust the bov. a link to a guide would be great.

i was wondering if anyone has any ideas on something else to use for the hose? something thinner? should i try home depo? any ideas, thoughts, or suggestions would be helpful.

I got a tube from NAPA that took care of it. They have hoses of all different sizes. They also have the tubes with the metal wire inside that helps hold the shape for any bends. It worked great for me and made a funny WWWWWHHHHHRRRRRRRR sound whenever the blow off valve would go because the air was spinning from the wire inside.

i went to napa, they didn't have the 1 1/4" that i need. also the tubing with the metal coil. the coil is under pressure, and if you were to cut it to size it would un ravel the coil... so how did you acomplish this?

take a picture of your BOV and recirc pipe on the intake with a camera phone or a real camera.
Go back to Napa and look at their radiator hoses for the right bend you need.

If your looking for sound, go to Home Depot of lowes and look in their plumbing section. Look for the metal pipes used for since and find something to mach up to match the bends you need.

Ok another suggestion..

The hard pipe didnt not work for me at all. My 1G sounded amazing till I re did my intercooler piping and went to hard recirc. It was almost silent.

I went back to the clear rubber tubing wiht the nylon in it from home depot and I got that loud distinctive sound back.

Heres what it looks like. If I could run the ruber the whole way I would b ut the bend it to drastic....so I had to keep a hard bend. GoodLuck. Also its only like 3 bucks so its work a shot first. I works great for me, from the heating and cooling of the motor all the time the tubing hardens in the shape you have it and also resembles a hard pipe. Just a thought.

Wow I have the same exact setup as treefrog and my rubber hose actully was too far bent so it got a hole near the end of it. I think i'm going to go out to home depot and try out that clear nylon thing today. But it looks like the hose is kind of odd shaped, does it match right up to the intake pipe?

Sounds like you bought a BOV for all the wrong reasons but I'd try and get something bent out of aluminum if sound is what your looking for.

The guy right above said that he used a hard recirc pipe and it was next to silent...I just went to home depot and they don't have any of that nylon hose you have =(
A buddy of mine had his bent out of aluminum and it was very loud. You sure the hose isn't kinked?

I'm not sure about him, I never tried a hard pipe. I just went out today actully and bought some radiator hose and it fit great. I still hear the WHoosh sound, not as loud as it was vented, but still very audible. To answer the original post, I turned my RS soft a few full turns untill I started to hear the whoosh sound again and that solved that problem.

They should its in plumbing.....also yea its really snug on the 1g BOV and I got a reducer to make it go to the Injen.
