So I am pretty new to DSMs, I bought a 1996 Eclipse gs-t about 3 months ago and I have been modifying it. I have quite a bit of experience wrenching on cars, so working on it does not scare me. I recently installed a 1g intake manifold, head, and throttle body on my engine, I did all the welding to be able to mount the CPS on the head and the MAF on the intake. Yes I know the 2g head flows better, but I am looking for top end performance. So my problem is that, there is no vacuum fitting to recirculate the bov on the 1g intake manifold like on the 2g which is to the right of where the MAP sensor bolts to, and I am wondering what would be the best course of action. Should I drill a hold and mount a fitting on the intake and recirculate it, or should I go with a completely different MAF set up.

I might be confused on what you are trying to say, but typically you recirculate your BOV to the intake pipe between the MAF and turbo. I don't I have ever heard of someone recirculating it back to the intake manifold itself since the idea of the BOV to let pressured air escape your "charge" pipes once the throttle blades close.

Also idk why you would weld the cas to the intake manifold. It' supposed to go on the backside of the intake cam

I meant on the head

On the 2g intake manifold there is a vacuum fitting that a line from my bov connects to, on the 1g there is not one, I am losing metered air through the bov making it idle weird and run rich in between shifts. I hope this is clearer

You probably have a non turbo manifold.

There are still plenty of sources you can tap after the throttle plate.

It is a 1992 talon intake, and it had the ECI-multi casting on it, I was told that it was a turbo manifold but I could have been lied to I guess. It seems to match up seamlessly with the rest of the 1g parts I have even though I know those are the parts on the turbo-ed models. Ill just install and new fitting on the manifold and see if that works, thank you.
