reccomedations for 02 sim

i have a cel do to dc sports headers i need to buy a o2 sim could any one send me in the right direction hope fully this will turn off my cat eff code 2 thanks

What I have done in the past is go to your local auto parts store and buy a spark plug defouler. Then I would take a dremel and open it up a bit so the o2 sensor could screw into it. Then just screw the spark plug defouler into your o2 bung. What this does is it spaces the o2 sensor a little bit out of the exhaust stream and keeps it from setting off your CEL. In all this will cost you less than $5 and works well.

When I had my 04 nissan I got rid of all the cats and using this method I never got a CEL.

i own dc sports headers no bung and there ceramic coated this is why im stuck have to pass e check by oct 7

i need a o2 sim for my upstream that website says not used for primary o2 but i will use the rear one thanks for that i cant seem to find what im looking for this sucks any more advice would be a big help

The up stream is the most important sensor. It NEEDS to be hooked up if you are running stock ECU and it is using the stock O2 sensor for fuel trims. Without it your car should be in safe mode and running extremely rich. You should be getting bad performance and low gas mileage.

You can only use a simulator on the Downstream O2 sensor.

Go to your local exhaust shop and have them weld a bung on it for you...

thank you this is what i thought this whole time and every one told me there was a way around it i just bought this car so im still working around a few issues thanks alot will there be any issue with them being ceramic

IIRC it is just a ceramic coating.

Your profile says you live in Ohio. We don't have emissions tests here. What do you mean by e check?

norwalk doesn't but if you live in cuyahoga county it does lucky you unfortunately i have to deal with the mess
