Rebuilding my trans needs some advice

I will be rebuilding my trans with a ipt performance trans rebuild kit with a translab shift kit. i have a 97 gsx automatic. what kind of trans fluid should i put in there once i put the trans back into the car? should i go with amsoil synethic? also how long does it need to break in? if i rebuild the trans should i buy new solenoid kit also?

I believe the factory fluid is called Diamond SpIII which is pretty expensive from the dealer. Castrol makes one they sell at the parts stores that is compatible. Its about $5/quart, too. Works good for me! Stay away from old fluids like dexron, typef, etc. They dont have the correct friction lubricants for the types of clutches/etc in the trannies.
I have no personal experience with Amsoil in a dsm, but it is a high quality oil, but very expensive

well i think oem mitsubishi fluid would be best but i want somethin better im really thinkin amsoil but not sure yet

I would call IPT because it is possible for fluid to be too slippery for the clutches.

Redline makes great fluids.
