Ok so I am hording parts for my TSI AWD 6bolt building. So anyways... I have need advice...

And for everyone who tells me to do a search go to hell... I have done it already...

So anyways... I need to select a cam set. I was originally thinking 264/272 from HKS because on the street I want to sound stock until I go at it. But from what I have been reading I am thinking of FP2 combo since they say its just like stock at idle but pulls harder than the HKS on the high end. I was also considering the FP2x as well but does anyone know if I should just get FP2s?

Engine spec,

APR studs
8.5:1 Ross Pistons
Manley H Rods
Crower Valve Springs w/ titanium retainers

Turbo: T3/T4 50trim w/ .48 exhaust by AGP
680cc injectors
255 walbro fuel pump

I just havent ordered my cams yet... everything else I have...

Goal is 425-500 whp

Second question is a AFPR.. I am debating on a bolt on APR or getting the Aeromotive FPR w/ the kit. I don't really spending $300 dollars >.<

I saw that SARD has a bolt on adapter for the Evo/DSM for $25 and the unit is about $150 or so. I was wondering if i need to upgrade my fuel line with this.

I am also looking into one for my GST. I am in the process of doing a 6bolt to that w/ 550 injectors and a 255 lph fuel pump. I might upgrade to a 16G. It is pretty much my daily driver so I am not trying to spend really any money for this but if I have to I have to.

Let me know what you guys think... Thanks...

You can get the Aeromotive unit for right around 200 bucks and that is with a complete kit. You don't really need SS lines although they sure do look pretty.

And cams, I would opt for "stage 2" cams, meaning Fp2s, comp 200s, hks 272s. Alot of people run the combo because they think you lose alot of low-end, not really true. I run a set of comp 200s with an 18g and I get full spool around 3300 and it pulls until 7800.

Be prepared to spend alot of money trying to reach 450whp. You can't really build on a budget and expect numbers like that.

Hahaha I know I have already put a good chunk of change into already if you noticed the other things I have already put in. Having 3 Dsms just isn't always the greatest thing in the world. Thanks for the reply.

I want a semi stock lobe, my friend has a 11 sec evo and he has 272 combo and the lobe is just too much.. But I keep reading that the FP2s are almost like stock... I was also wondering about FP2x because I have seen a few people here put them in and they have a higher ramp rate. Ofcourse I only have the crower springs but not dual springs.

Can I get a link to where it is only $200 for the whole Aeromotive kit?

I believe Comp makes FP cams anyway but I would no reason for the lope. I know of 8 locals who run cams and none of them are lopy at all. These are all 272/200s/fp2s.
EDIT: I can't comment on the X cams from Fp since I haven't researched them much.

i run dks 272's and they sound close to stock. i would recommend these if your on a budget ( they are identical to hks 272's). for a afpr i would go with the aeromotive kit from import evolution. for about $220 you'll be set with a quality afpr and fuel pressure gauge shipped to your door.

I run the 2x's, idle is almost like stock. I'm not sure if your valve srpings would be up to the task though. Might be better off with the 2's.

Also it might be tough to make that much power on the .48 A/R...

If need be I will upgrade my 50trim when this one kicks the bucket... but I would like to max it out... AGP said that the turbo should produc anywhere from 500-550 hp
i would assume that is bhp but they must mean MAXing it out... I only want 425whp or so...
