I got my 7 bolt motor back from the machine shop, hooked everything up and it runs!!! but, now i have an oil leak!!! i thought it was the ofh, so i ordered a new gasket......not the problem! i thought it was a crank seal...i broke the lower timing cover to see if thats where the oil was comming from, but its not leaking there. :banghead:so i had them remove the balance shafts, and now I found where its leaking. here is a pic...if anyone can help me please let me know if i can just jb weld it or if the front cover has to come off.

thanks

here is the pic with where the oil is leaking from. thanks

You have to put a bolt in that hole or else it will leak. It helps also to put a little rtv on the bolt.

I believe it is a 8x1.25 length, probably 3/4 to 1inch. Make sure if is a flange bolt, and not just a standard hex bolt though, the hex bolt won't seal up properly.
