Rebuild motor

I just recently bought a 2g Long block with 122,000 miles on it and a compress. test ranging from 160-170 psi and I was wonerdering if I should do a full rebuild(e.g gaskets bearings, rings etc.). on it or would I be safe in dropping it right in and boosting with a T3T4 Turbo at about 15-20 psi. The motor is cosmetically in very good condition and has no signs of blown gaskets or anything.

It is risky. In My opinion since you have it out of the car. I would do general maintanance. Change T-belt,Water pump,etc. Just to be safe.... and you don't have to worry for a while....
(A better HG also so it can hold High Boost). That is my opinion.

You answered your own question, its past the crankwalk phase hopefully. But you alreadyhave it out and your going to be running a moderately large turbo, why leave the internals stock. do everything, and build for the power, you won't be sorry.

Yea I was kinda looking for that answer because I am going to be pushing enough to have that o so horrible crank walk. another question would be what brands and parts are ideal for sort of say... 350 hp w/ 75 shot of No2 at the flywheel?
