ok so its another dumb post by me.... is it possible to re build my motor while still in the car? i know i am dumb but i just thought id ask :talon:

Actually according to a friend of mine it is but it's easier to pull the engine.

He owns a honda and what he did was jackup the front drop the pan and pulled the #1 I'm assumg... Then rotated the crank and did #2 then so and so fourth to #4. Then I honestly have no idea how he "Reassembled" it.

But I think if your going to build it just pull it out and do it all. That way you don't have to "work around' things in the way.

P.S. If you're unsure how to start rebuilding an engine and/or do not have the proper tools, do not start until you have a LOT of time to kill. :) You'll probably screw up more than a few things and have to back track, etc.

yeah i have a friend that knows motors and what not i am just flippn out cause i heard that r&r on these are a devil so i just wanna weigh all my options :talon:

Then you would honestly be better off and happier dropping the engine and tranny as one setup and rebuilding the engine out of the car.
:)

well my neighbor(mech) is an arsehole,....or is he he is making me take it apart piece by piece or it has to be bone that way (valve cover then head and so on). so now i am waiting till he comes home so i can take the head out so i assume we are taking it all out besides i am prolly gonna get the block bored for the pistons ne wayz :D :talon:

yeah you are gonna need to hone the block at least and cleaning it up would be easier with the motor out of the car...
