Motor rebuild?

I am new to the DSM world and bought a vr4 galant just last week and well it blew a head gasket on the way home...I wanted to do the gasket but now Im thinking a budget rebuild of the motor. The car has a spearco intercooler, 2g maf, MBC, 2.5 exhaust and dp, SAFC, fuel pressure regulator(dont know what kind), And bigger injectors but im not sure the size, and I dont know what the car is running for a fuel pump. I would like tho make somewhere in the 275-300hp range with this set up. now my question is if i rebuild the motor to stock are these power goals achievable and or safe? Or would it be recommended to more of a bullet proof motor? Im looking to make this car more of a daily driver and I dont want it to be to crazy. What would i be looking at price wise to build up a stock speck motor? I know this is a lot of questions but any help would be great!

stock rebuild wont be a problem with your power goal.

just look at this stock 6bolt crank out 600+hp.

The stock rebuild will be way more than enough for your goal. Provided that your car is up to date with maintenance. 275-300hp is not to uncommon to reach on stock build.

Kinda hard to say the odometer says 196,xxx but the guy i bought it from said it had a new jdm motor of course no proof of his claimed 30,000 miles on the motor so id say 196,000 would be the side to error on

I would just do a stock rebuild on it. Your hp goals aren't crazy. There are plenty of DSM's out there making that kind of power off of stock builds.

Do you have general idea of what that would cost? or what would be easier rebuild it or buy one already done? Whats the idea on the jdm importer stuff?
