Hey so I have quite the collection of some 1g 14b turbos now and I was wondering if anyone on here rebuilds the 14b with the 16g compressor wheel. I know there is machining involved but we are dsmers right!?:D anyways let me know if anyone on here as the ability and resources to do something like this.

For the cost of machining the compressor cover and cartridge,
then purchasing the 16g compressor and rebuild kit and
then having it rebuilt,
you could essentially purchase a brand new Evo3 16g probably cheaper.
Plus you'll want to have a 7cm turbine housing as well, so add that up to.

To make a 14B into a 16G you'd need to machine the compressor cover and center housing to accept the larger wheel. You'd need to purchase the 16G wheel, a parts kit, get the rotating assembly rebalanced, and buy a 7cm turbine housing.

After machining, parts / wheel pricing, and rebalance fees you'd be somewhere in the $450-$500 region to build your own 16G.

Personally I'd just get a 7cm^2 exhaust housing for that 14b and enjoy the 'like small 16g' performance for cheap.

The reason I ask is because my brother has a 3000gt vr4 and a guy on his forum took his 9b turbos and fit a 15g into them for pretty cheap. So i was figuring possibly someone on this forum would have the resources to do it and possible make some $$ off of it you know. If not then maybe i will just save up for a 20g or wait and do a hx40 build :hellyeah:

Jusmx eff that we can't be answering this question every 5 mins, let him search.

I did search. I was not asking what needs to be done...I found that upon searching. I was asking if anyone had the resources to do it and if they would be willing to do it...I believe that is what the original question was correct??:p
