Rear wheels toe in, rear end kicks out

Okay so im completely baffled, I own a 1996 eclipse RS base model, and I live in pennsylvania so we have our fair share of shitty weather. My rear end kicks out everytime i hit a patch of snow or ice, slush ect.. I've came to the conclusion my rear wheels are toed in really bad on both sides which makes it near impossible to drive in the snow with it and it is my only vehicular conveyance. I know theres an eccentric bolt on the subframe that i need to turn but i took it to a shop and even they couldnt get the bolt off, and i cant buy an aftermarket bolt.. and if I replace my lowering springs with stock OEM springs will it fix the problem automatically?

Feedback woud be great guys ive been at this for a little over a year now.

If they can't get the bolt to turn then it's seized, which happens quite a bit due to the design sadly, you'll need to have them cut the whole mess out and replace the piece. Make sure they put lots of anti-seize in the bushings, nuts, and bolts with the replacements.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't toe in stabilize the rear? Toe out is what gets the tail super loose? I know guys who FWD autocross who toe out alot to get the back to come around. I honestly don't know the dynamic changes the suspension makes through bump, mine doesn't change.

OP, replacing anything in the suspension regardless of component (aside from "possibly" a normal bolt, nut, or washer), negates an alignment. If you swap from lowering springs back to stock, sure it may fix your problem, but you won't know if it's fixed until the alignment is completed. You could get lucky and swap the parts and things end up tracking straight (or at whatever alignment measurements you desire), but it's not guaranteed.

Changing suspension springs does not change any adjustments so the toe should not be affected, only camber. If that were true, that would mean that all our cars would drive terribly when the rear was under load like anytime you launch it. You are correct about the kicking though but in my experience usually toe in or out of that magnitude is noticeable visually without the machine. You can also tell if the toe in or out is off if you hear a howling noise when you run over the snake patches in the asphalt. you have a 96 so I would say to check all of your bushings because it would most likely be a worn bushing causing some slop

I'm having the problem Where I've had it aligned But the rear tires are wearing out really fas. I can see it toe in. Anytime it rains my car is all over the road it loses traction. Your saying if I replace the bushings that will fix all my problems?
