Went to the alignment shop and found out my Toe adjustment bolt was seized. Basically, i'm wondering what my method of action should be. Do i just heat the bolt up and remove the cam bolt and the "toe-arm"? I want to get rid of the active toe crap that these cars have, has anybody made a tubular arm? I'm very interested in something solid and adjustable, like my ingall's control arms(i love them).

DSS and a few other places sell stainless steel inserts with proper Heim joints to prevent suspension binding (as a few other rear active toe elimination methods will produce). Expect to spend about $300 on the parts, plus however much for installation and proper alignment. People have rolled their own for less (and stronger) with proper welding gear though. It's on my own list of things-to-do, as I'm tired of the back end seeming to tweak and 'hop' out on tight hairpins, instead of smoothly breaking traction.

A search for '1G rear toe heim joint' should get you started, as I can't find a link to the site selling off the SS inserts.

My upper control arm bolts were so rusted nothing short of a sawzall worked. It was slow and miserable work but it got the parts out to put in new bolts.

Pagosa DSM made his own inserts for the trailing arm and we'll be making a set for me too. He said the challenging part is making the shims where the heim end bolts into the subframe tight. His heims are press fit into that space so there is no wiggle and no noise from vibration. The handling on his car is pimpresive to say the least and it rides quiet as can be.

I have a friend who can make me the heim joints. I just need a good picture of what the DSS piece looks like, or even pagosa's setup. I'm thinking of making tubular lower control arms as well, or making the whole trailing arm tubular.

Pagosa DSM has photos of his setup in his gallery. It is basically just a big cylindrical insert with a threaded hole through the middle. You'll need to measure to get the lenghts right.
