1G Rear subframe bushing replacement Q

Hey, all. This may seem obvious to some, or not, regardless I'd like your opinion.

Should I yank the thin metal sleeve and go with the new 3" exhaust pipe for the new *sleeve*, (to retrofit the poly bushings) or just use the existing piece that's a little chewy, but still seems like there's no way in hell it's going anywhere. Currently measures about 2.9" ID

That looks rough man i did mine years ago, i just popped mine in i saw online how people do it, but mine are in and are just fine, i sand blasted mine rear end and put new bushings in after paint.

Cool, right on man, thanks for your input! I'll get them in my hands and drop them in to check the fit, first. If it's sloppy I'll definitely do the exhaust pipe sleeve (see link pics below). Waiting to hear back from @boostx first. Not sure if he's around or not. Then, RTM.
