2G Rear spring insulator melted?

I was wondering if anyone else has seen this or knows of a possible cause. I am doing some suspension work on the Talon and pulled the rear shocks out and noticed both insulators are melted. Neither front one is showing any signs of melting.

Yea it's just age and elements. I've seen it before on other vehicles too. Get some new ones and make sure the top plate is fully clean before installing the new ones.
