Ever since I bought my car it has had a rattle in the rear wheels. (1993 Talon) I looked the other day and both my rear brake pads seem to be loose and the rattle up and down. My brakes work fine though but does anyone know why the pads rattle?

I had the same problem, it sounded like a clicking noise evrytime I went over bumps, roll your windows down and see if it still rattles with the brakes applied. I found that who ever did the rear brakes removed the anti rattle clips. These clips hold the pads in the brackets to keep them from rattling. Fourtunatley the clips are available at any parts store for like $10 a side.

They still rattle when the brakes are applied. Anyway, how hard is to put those on? Do you have to take the whole rotor apart?
