Has any body ever built a rear engine rear wheel drive eclipse?I know I could very easilly relocate a fuel tank to the front, and cut a hole in the trunk and with enough fabricating build spots for the motor and trans mounts.BUT how cound I get the axles to work right with a GS rear suspention?Would it work with a GSX rear dif and suspention mounted up under a GS.I guess I wouldn't need the dif just the rear suspention:hmm:

I thought of buying a GS for a couple hundred and doing this one day LOL Ive taken measurements of the engine and tranny and engine bay and the engine will fit in the back no problem. The way I was thinking was use GSX rear hubs but make custom axles to fit to the transmission. A custom tubular rear subframe is what I want to do. Plus a lot of extra fabricating to add enough support to the back of the car to hold the motor.

It would be alot of fab work and probably would have to have some custom axles but it would be pretty awesome if you did it and it worked.
