Rear motor mount removal 1g

So I have a totally clean 1g DSM. Remove my intake manifold (for a JMF one) and I figured while I was in here I'd install a rear poly mount. However this rear mount is the rustiest thing on my entire car .. Any tips for getting the 3 14mm bolts out of it? I got the one that goes straight through no problem. Any advice would be much appreciated.

The bolts seem corroded and I'm not sure if they're even going to come out. I cant quite get my 14mm over any of them. Plus the angle that they're at isnt making it easy. Should I clean them with a wire brush and try again?

Haven't had a issue with any of the other mounts besides this one they all went right in and out.

Wire brush them clean if you can, might be a tight spot then try and take em out, remember to use lots of penetrating oil/lubricant. Use heat as a last resort... If they strip (avoid at all costs) you can either try hammering an old 13mm you don't really care about on the head and try that but it rarely works like that if theyre rusted in there pretty good. If they break off or strip and you cant remove them with a wrench grab a pair of safety glasses and a die grinder and zip off the bolt heads and remove the motor mount. Then you can use an ez out or a left handed drill bit to try and take whats left of the bolts out. Worst case scenario is you break em off and do as stated above and drill them out and muff the threads up. just drill one size bigger than the hole and tap it then get bolts to match.

if there stripped drill them out best you can doesn't sound good though you need that mount. the best advice I'd to do everything you can then decide on a sub frame it may be but it's usually something with any old vehicle especially 20 years or so in s area that is hardly ever touched meaning the bolts back there.

This car was built when? 1991? It's possible you are the first one in there. And it's also very likely that you will be that last. As long as you don't damage anything besides the old mount, you have full authorization to Hack, tear, sawzall that mofo off and weld in a new one.

Clean all off as much crud as you can and spray liberally with pb blaster. Let it marinate over night and spray it again an hour or two before you try and break them loose. If you can find Kroil that works even better. I'm going to be putting my rear prothane bushing on this weekend or at least attempting to. Hope mine aren't too bad.

Thanks for the tips guys great. I ended up getting them all out with the bolts still in reusable condition. I was definitely the first person ever back there or even to have the intake manifold off on the car as far as I could tell. Had my friend bring over his snap on set and with some better tools than the craftsman crap I deal with most the time I managed to get them out and keep the mount in reusable condition. Had these bolts soaking in PB blaster over a week actually even.
