I really dont want to buy a sub frame. I need the 3 rear Differential Bushings. I read the post about the Aluminum ones but cant seem to find how they feel when you drive. I forget the name of the company UG or something like that, that made them but not anymore. I have searched and searched. Please point me in the right direction to get some. Last call i made was to enegy suspen.

You could go to the dealers with the part number for the evo bushes and see if they have them in and compare the two, that’s if you have a aluminum one to compare to, or measure the ones in the carrier. If it turns out ok then we would all know that evo bushes fit our cars.:hellyeah:

ill call my friend at the dealer and see if they have any in stock. maybe ill buy one and see if its the right one

I got the aluminum ones from ebay and I love um. I put them in when I swaped to awd. No flex at all from the diff. The backlash in the diff makes a bit of noise around 85 but other then that they're awsome.

how loud is it really ive been considering these but i would hate to add more noise. my car is loud enough as is LOL

Go to Calan 's blog and see his use of window weld for making bushings. Ive seen them personally and they are tough as nails.

i dont think this is gonna work for me... when i bought this car it didnt have the transfer case or drive line or diff in it. theres not much of the bushings left just some bits of rubber theres no metal sleve in the center so i dont even have enough to do this

Just to give you guys a heads up theres a guy selling diff bushes in the classified right now

UPDATE:

I have had the aluminum bushings on for a few days and they work perfectly. You hear the winding of diff gears but it actually sounds kinda cool. They serve their purpose.

This is good to know.
With our differentials only supported on one side its only a matter of time before they go again and it seems you cant get the rubber ones anymore.:notgood:

i ordered the aluminum ones off ebay... i am gonna hole saw them and machine them down and buy polyurathane hollow tubing and press them together at my work. so i will have made my own im just gonna copy the ums design... im also gonna turn the outside down to press fit into the old metal sleves or the stock one so all i have to do it burn out the old rubber. ill try and take some pics wheni do it

Sounds like a good idea, there getting harder to find now so if you come up with a Feasible Solution that could only be a good thing. :thumb:

Hey thats real nice work there, look better than the shop bought ones. :thumb:

I hve solid rear diff bushings, you hear a noise like bad tires, a whrrrrrr at speeds, I am used to it now, I dont have any vibrations from them though....
