Rear Diff 2g vs 4 bolt

What are the specific differences between the 4bolt rear diff unit (RDU) and the 2g RDU?

I have read they are not interchangable. Anyone know what the differences are?

I dont know exactly what you are asking but all 2g have a 4 bolt rear end.

Some 2G rears have a VC and some don't, but they all are 4-bolt.
