Rear Control Arm Dimensions

Hey, I was hoping that someone could get me the dimensions and weight of the rear upper and lower control arms on the 1g AWD. I am planning on designing a set of tubular control arms, but I am away from the car for a few months and would like to get the design finalized and stress tested before I return and make them. I would really appreciate any help with this today.

I have a wright up on the tech section on making rear upper control arms.You can check out www.galantvr-4.org.Look under do it your self, e-bay control arms.They give you all the part #s. Both articles should give you some ideas.

Do you have any of the part numbers, and where did you order the parts from?

I orderd the parts from Afco
30211 or 30212 for the lower ball joint
afco steel rod,get the longest one
everything else is hand made
3/8 heim joints for the sway bar links

Thats awsome . Do I need to order one left threaded and one right threaded ball joint? Or do I order them depending on the threaded rod? Im thinking for the other side I could use one of there rod ends and cut some aluminum spacers down on a lathe. Thanks again for the help.

If you take a close look at my photos,I used the right hand ball joint.I bought the longest theaded rod.I machined a large bushing at the end to the sub frame.I welded the bushing to the theaded rod.That is a must because of the sway bar mounting.You can not have a heim joint on the sub frame end and have a sway bar.This is the best design I came up with,if you have a better idea I will make a new one.
