Whats a good way to get them out w/o damaging the threads? I can beat them out with a hammer, but it will mushroom the tops. I've soaked it with PB blaster and no luck so far.

Rear hubs and axles are out of the differential as of now. Im getting the subframe ready for AWD swap

Go to the junk yard and get some cv nuts. Put them on the axle and pound them out with the hammer.

I tried everything to get them out of my car with no luck....I ended up having to replace everything. I wish you luck and hope you have a better experience than I did.

I also tried everything. Let them sit in a hydraulic press overnight with no luck. heat didn't work, big hydraulic press didn't do it. I found another rear subframe that I was able to get them out of.

Good luck!

Don't do this the nut will be pushed on and more than likely seize even worse.

Best to use a Slide hammer or a big hammer and punch.

Slide hammer it.

If you have access to an immersion heater. ( not sure if that is the proper term) but we use them at work to get bearings on and off spindles etc.

I would cool the whole setup and then use the heater to expand the hub to be able to get them to seperate with the hammer.

The last time I used it. The spindle sat in the freezer for a weekend before we put it on the bobcat/skid steer spindle and put the heated bearings on it.

sometimes they just won't come out.. when i did my AWD swap the LSD antilock rear setup i had just was not coming out so i had to hybrid the inner CV from the LSD onto the rest of non LSD axles so i could mount the LSD rear. from there i had to trash the hubs, and i have every tool you could imagine atmy disposal andit still held a day off my working time..sometimes they just are stuck... hit the junk yard and see if you can find rear hubs that are already freed up as a last resort
