Ok i have been looking around for a long time on this board for this problem but cant find anything to help me out. About a month ago i blew my engine, so it was 6 bolt time so i got a brand new 6 bolt put in with new pistons, rods gaskets, new steel head gasket, brand new 2g head with all new gaskets and all, and also a brand new 50 trim, the 50 trim has only less then a 100 miles got it put on two hours before i blew my old engine, so its all intsalled and know start the car up it runs awsome pulls reall hard, nothing wrong at all purzz like a cat, just blows hell of allot of white smoke when you get into the boost is when the car smokes really bad, i mean we have no clue what it is the whole engine is brand spankin new, we even checked all the intercooler pipes for oil cleaned them all out cleaned the my big greddy intercooler with brake cleaner, so i am really stuck on what it could be so if any suggestions on it would be greatly apreciated.. thanks

same problem on a 1g i was looking to buy yesterday. 6bolt stock 14b. car boosted fine. but it smoked white real bad. it doesnt' over heat. i origninally thought it would be a headgasket but the car isn't over heating. that necesarily (sp?) the head gasket isn't blown. i'm confused too. the only thing i could think of is did you and the guy who's car i was looking at yesterday tighten the headbolts down correctly and to the correct torque specifications

i'm curious too. we sound like two nuts looking for some ####y but dont' know where to begin. guess when you get i'll get

bad turbo? Generally when it happens under boost and gets worse then it's turbo related .. or possibly rings I guess. How is your compression? No smoke at idle? You sure there isn't any blue mixed in with the white smoke?

did you check for shaft play in the turbo? it is possible you got a bad one, even if it is new.. your description of the problem is the exact same thing that happened to me when my turbo went. also, check your oil level.. it is possible there is too much in there and your oil pressue gets crazy when you are boosting and leaks out of the seal and blows out your exhaust as smoke. its worth looking at

I agree it seems turbo related.

also, my smoke was pure cloud white when my turbo went, even though the cause was oil shooting directly into my exhaust. i have heard that synth oil burns much whiter than regular oil.. a quick smelling of the exhaust was all it took to discover that it was oil and not coolant.

Well looks like it was the turbo we took it of just to see and then we found out allot of shaft play. Sux brand spankin new turbo. god it suxs well we are shippin it back to slowboy and hopefully they will cover it.. But thanks for all the help though guys

that sucks man, good luck having them replace it.. let us know what happens. i hope you used an ss feed line and not the stock crapper.
