just swapped in a new clutch kit and i drove it for about 15 minutes fine no problems i was happy. but then on the way home, lets say im in first gear i slowly engage it then there is a really bad grinding noise like its hitting teeth really fast. and when i try to shift to second the moment i push the clutch down it grinds again then when i engage it into second it grinds again. in higher gears its fine........now dont think this is my gears grinding it is something else and im am very frustrated and tired of working on this car. please give me info.

It sounds like something isn't bolted up right in there. This is thelife of a DSM you get problems but once you fix them you fall in love with the car all over again. Pull the tranny it took me 4 hours to drop it, 2 hours to clean it and put a new TOB and the next day 3 hours to put it back in. I thought it wasn't too bad. Don't give up just yet
