really need advice new to the dsm world!

ok so in about 2 hours im planning on picking up a safc.1 i have a fwd 97 talon tsi has a 6bolt swap built by buschur racing. Has a new vrsf fmic and piping. Greddy type s Bov. Arp head studs. forge pistons and rods Mushimoto aluminum radiator act 2600 clutch stock injecters boost controller aeromotive a/1000 fuel pressure regulater aem wide band says im running rich reads 10.1 under full boost whould it be a good idea to buy this safc and tune it.. i dont have money for a dsm link so kind of the only route i have right now! i just want my car to run good and strong?? please give me advice?

I doubt you are running rich with stock injectors(are you sure they are stock?). Have you done a boost leak test ? Make sure your afpr is set correctly also.

I wouldn't doubt it at all. The factory fuel map is pig rich at 9.6 afr and the t25 craps out before the stock injectors would see 100% duty cycle, so it's quite possible.

IMO, SAFC's are pretty much a waste of money. I agree, save up for link and be done with it...

10 AFR sounds about average. I was seeing that when I was untuned and she ran fine. Do you have any bigger plans? If you're sticking with that setup and you absolutely want to lean it out, then go for an SAFC. If not, you're in no immediate danger and I would save up for Link or you can try this: ceddy.us

link isnt the only tuning option you should also look into an ostrich 2.0 and tunerpro rt its about 200 all together

i paid 400 for v.3 full with the ecu. I had an epexi neo in the car when I got it I sold that for 90
