420A really high idle

It's a 99 eclipse with the 420a motor. 5 speed. When I turn the car on it's idleing at about 2500 and as I let it sit, it slowly makes it's way up to about 3100. What could cause this?
 
check for codes if you don't have any then you have to check your tps voltage . at idle it should be below 1 volt also check for any vacuum leaks .another thing is make sure your throttle cable is adjusted right.
 
check the throttle cables are in place right cause my old car did that and that was the problem with mine
