I own a 91 talon tsi. I have a problem I cannot figure out and nobody I have talked to has been able to figure it out. My car will not start. It crankes, gets spark, has compression, has fuel and sounds strong while cranking. This happend over night last sunday. I got home that night and went to sleep. Woke up the next morning and it would not start. I think I have tried everything ignition related but I need some fresh ideas.

are you sure your fuel pump is working, is the ingition coil giving off enough energy, are your valves opening LOL maybe ur missing ur cams LOL you might have a air problem - such as does ur vacuum work. Did you try giving it gas to open the throttle body for air while turning the key.

Is your temp sensor hooked up??? I know something like this happened to me before. There is a plug on the right side of the temp. housing. Its a single wire plug. Mine had broke off and my car wouldnt start b/c of it. Just a thought.

Did you actually remove all spark plugs, ground them and watch to see if spark is strong in each while cranking engine? Also smell fuel in each cyl and plugs wet? Have proper fuel pressure at the rail? Does it pop (fire) at all? Anything done recently? Do you have any enemies?

Im only going to assume you have actually checked your spark and fuel. Could be a fuse. There are certain fuses that would disable a car from running even tho its turning over. Check all of them, under the dash and under the hood. Could be some sort of wiring problem. Does the car have an alarm with a starter kill???? I cant remember exactly but i do believe that the alarm from the factory had a starter kill. Last thing could be the ECU :talon:

I do have fuel. I checked all plugs. Yesterday I traced a wire from the power transistor to the ecu that had infinite resistance. Turned out my ecu was fried. So I put a spare one from one of my spare cars and it still wont start. I have already tried replacing everything ignition related. I was wondering how you adjust ignition timing when the car wont start and you've put on a new cam angle sensor. Thanx for any help.
