Re-circulate or vent?

You must leave it recirculated unless you have a blow-thru set up, if you vent it with a stock maf it will run very rich since you are venting the air already read by the maf and can cause serious damage to your engine.

Recirculate it. I've got mine set up vented only because I wrecked my car and it shifted everything around to where the hose won't fit. My car is noticeably slower and shifts less smooth.

yes vent only if you have a gm maf and translator set up for blow threw, if not you will have a problem with running rich and bogging...a type s will perform just fine in recirculation mode

I am running a type s in recirc. It works fine, sure its not all loud and "look at me, I'm awesome!" but it works good : )

Or if you're running DS-MAP or a stand alone by using speed density.

You can vent it if you get a GM MAFT and Translator and put it after the BOV so it reads the amount of air coming in after the BOV vents, this will stop the car from running like crap, and you get the:"look at me, I'm awesome!" sound as Diatenshi put it. It could cost around 250 or 300 bucks though, so if cash is tight and it works fine as it is, well : "If it aint broke, dont fix it."
