Hey guys I have a 1991 GSX. I pulled the engine to refurbish it with new seals, gaskets and timing belt. I installed a new clutch masters FX clutch, new clutch masters oem style steel flywheel, new oem pivot ball(no shims), new oem fork and new oem throw out bearing. The fork looked like it was in the correct position, adjusted the clutch pedal per jacks transmission youtube video and car drive really nice and clutch works like a charm. I am getting a loud rattle noise from the transmission area when I let off the throttle in 3ed and 4th gear. In those gears if I give it throttle the noise goes away and if I put the car in neutral it goes away and If I push the clutch in it goes away. Seems like its really noticeable in 3ed and 4th gear while cruising and can really hear it if Im driving next to a wall or curb. I did notice it gets worse once the car is warmed up. I changed the trans and transfercase fluids again, swapped out the transfercase with a known good one and even installed jxb drive shaft carrier bushings. I made sure the exhaust isn't hitting anything and checked for any loose components. From the bottom of the trans I inspected for any metal and any debris coming from the flywheel area and looks very clean. Before doing all this work I never heard this noise. Could it just be a noisy clutch? Im asking for some advice before I pull the transmission for a deeper inspection. Thanks!
