ok, well when i let off the clutch in first, sometimes there is a rattiling coming from what sounds like the wheelwell? its somewhere on the driver rear, it sounds like rattling metal on metal. any ideas?

jacking up that side of the car and looking will tell you a lot more than we can. The brake line to strut connection may be loose, callipers loose, wheel bearing. Wiggle things around and go from there, gl

I had a rattling by the rear, not specifically from the drivers, but it was the heat sheild above the muffler. It could be that and the sound is carrying to the other side of the car?? If that is it, just rip it out.
