Rattle Can Question

Would rattle-can painting bumpers/side skirts look noticibly sloppy with a few coats of clear-coat on top too? Also, roughly how much is actual paint from a dealership or where else can I find the exact color match paint?

I would think so on the sloppiness unless you had some insane skills with rattle canning... as far as the paint stuff... I wouldn't go to the dealer(since they tend to overcharge)...talk to bodyshops in your area, and ask them if they can get you the paint code...and sometimes auto-glass places will know where you can look up your paint...

I'm sure if you did a proper prep job, followed the contours of the peice with the can, and did a proper finish sanding and buffing job you would make a rattle-can job look good. The hardest part would be matching paint since there might be paint fade.

A body shop or paint retailer should be able to help you find the correct color

You will never get even paint coverage with a rattle can. With an airgun the pressure is regulated with the regulator, with an aresol its regulated with your finger. Not to mention you will never get the shine of an auto paint out of a rattle can clear...but if its just temp then have at it, just don't expect a show quality boj...
