So out of nowhere my clutch went haywire. I have 2500 miles on it and pulling out of the gas station the other morning all of the sudden I no longer need a pedal to shift and tires don't move. It literally just run through the gears and sits there. It has performed perfect until this point. It is an xtd stage 4 unsprung. Anyone have any ideas.

hey man. i had the same problem with my 90 laser rs turbo. its like when you hit the gas it revs but it dosnt catch. i took out the trans and whoever did my clutch put it in backwards. i replaced the clutch and the problem still persisted. turns out the pressure plate went bad. so i cant tell you exactly whats going on but i can say that itd be a good idea to point you in the direction of the pressure plate.

as ive said its been about 2 years since ive had dsms but ie had plenty of them.
i hope this helps ill continue to doo some research and try and help you trouble shoot.

good luck

ohhh and ps look and see if your brake fluid res and see if its low. follow the line that goes to the clutch master slave. i had that problem too.

Im wondering if the clutch center stripped out on splines. Ive seen a 6 puck unsprung ACT strip the splines because the unsprung disk is just too harsh of engagement between the teeth on the clutch and the splines on the transmission. Without having springs this is a semi common thing.

That is a sure possibility. I have a feeling I won't know anything until I drop the tranny and the weather sucks here and I just really dont feel like messing with it until it is warm. On the other hand I want it ready to roll when it is warm.

Yeah i know what you mean LOL. I live like 30 miles from your area. Im not to sure what else would allow you to shift into all gears but not engage. Its like your trans is in neutral in every gear.
