Hey guys, my factory radio after reconnecting the battery gave me the option for code. I didn't know it at the time since I just recently got the car so i tried a couple of numbers. Of course they were all wrong. hah. But anyways, now the radio instead of saying "CODE" it says "off". How do I get it to give me the option of "CODE" again?

try disconnecting the battery for a while and reconnecting it agian.

Hmm left it off for about 45-50 mins and didn't remedy it. Do you think it would need longer? I'm going to go ahead and leave it off til tomorrow around 3:00PM when I get home and if that's not long enough then it definitely isn't the answer.

The guy I got it from didn't have it...I do have a Haynes manual i suppose I could check again...briefly skimmed it and dont believe i saw anything though.

The dealership should be able to look up your VIN or a serial number on the back of the radio and tell you the code.

If you put in the wrong code more the 3 times i think, it is not possibly to turn it on. You get 3 shots before it shuts off and isnt able to be turned back on..atleast thats what the dealership told me

You need to drive around for I beleive an hour or something with it on saying off and it will reset itself. You dont need to take the abattery off
