Radiator/Coolant ¿?

Ok i got a ? about coolant, after i installed my FMIC I started running at lik 220 which to me is not kewl, well i bought this stuff i dont even know what its called it comes in a metal 1 gallon jug, its says cools better than ice water well its not to be mixed with coolant so i drained all the coolant outta my engine and radiator and added the jug of stuff and topped it off with distilled water, well I get my fluidyne radiator 2 morrow and i dont know if u have to remove 1 of the fans for that radiator but my ? is should i drain all that crap out and put back in coolant/Antifreeze or should i just keep running that stuff since its already in my motor??

As long as the stuff isn't bad for you engine, I wouldn't see any problem using it in a Fluidyne. It may drastically reduce your temps from 220 degrees that's for sure. You could always run it through there and if you have any problems, just flush it back out.

It did drastically drop my temps, all the way down to 187 operating, running around everything, and thats on the stock radiator, also what helped, is my thermostat was completely corroded, so i changed that to, but yeah the stuff is awesome, but i wasnt sure if I should keep running it, because the fluidyne probably won't need it since oem radiators are crap, i figured Fluidyne would be ok to go back to regular coolant??

The coolant didn't do it, the thermostat did.

But yes, it should be safe in a Fluidyne.

so if the ice-water stuff wasn't what made the difference, then... should i go back to coolant? But see the car was running perfectly normal and then one day we slapped the FMIC on and BAM i got heating problems, Its not like i got a warning that the thermostat was going bad and i have seen alot worse thermostats than this one and the car was still fuly operable, opposed to mine ran like $h!t.

Thermostats are often items that work just fine right up until they don't.

Find out what your miracle product was, and see what the manufacturer says. It's probably still just glycol-based antifreeze.
