coolant/radiator confusion?

Alright guys I'm confused here. So my car runs and doesn't over heat, but When I turn off my car it leaks from the radiator /lower hose. I have a replaced the hose and now I just ordered a new radiator. My confusion is, even though I have had 3 huge puddles of coolant loss, It's still topped off? I know that it has a tiny crack so this is why I'm replacing, plus my coolant seems like it has tiny little black things in it i assume from a stock Radiator. I just want to know why It's still topped off after losing so much. It isn't coming from that extra coolant thing (forgot the name :Lol:

Anyways. It probably stays topped off ### it's sucks it from the reservoir bottle. I'd still keep an eye on it though

It's probably coming from your coolant reservoir. It's supposed to top it off like that. Continue with the radiator replacement and see if the leaking stops. Beyond that you should do a complete coolant flush. Any shop can do a pressurized leak test which will make leaks more obvious.

^^ and keep an eye on the reservoir fluid level to see if it's dropping pretty quick.
