Hi guys, a few quick questions. I'm looking into the Mishimoto radiator ( http://www.extremepsi.com/store/product.php?productid=21638&cat=935&page=1 ) and pairing it with two Mishimoto slim fans ( http://www.extremepsi.com/store/product.php?productid=21614&cat=374&page=1 ).

My questions are; do the new slim fans plug into the stock wire plugs on the car, or is there additional wiring need to get them hooked up correctly?

Also I see there are 4 mounting locations on the Mishimoto radiator for fans, I'm assuming there for stock fans, with are 8 inch bolt pattern. Should I stick with bolting the new fans to those mounting locations, or press them into the fins (which would save room)? And is 12" really necessary? My old radiator does need to be replaced, however I am wanting to add as MUCH EXTRA room as possible, so would smaller 10 or 8 inch fans be worth it?

Thanks for any advise!

All I can tell you is that my car came with a Mishimoto radiator, fans and fan shroud. The connectors were hard-wired into the engine harness so I suspect the connectors didn't match up. Also, the 4 mounting points on the radiator were for the fan shroud to mount onto. Once again, these are just observations from my car when I bought it.

Thanks, I figured it would be as easy as plugin them in:(.

Anyone know how to wire them in, also IF i can, I dont want to use a shroud to save on room. Anyone running with the fans taped into the fins with no shroud?

You don't need the shroud. Just look up slim fan kit and you'll find the connectors you need. Do a search on slim-fan install for a 2g and you'll find wiring diagrams. Only two 2 wires per fan so it's hard to mess up. You'll probably need to add relays and fuses etc.

I went spal fans on mine... one is 1700cfm other is like 2000... worth the extra money for good fans especially if you have a front mount.

Youll want relays and refuses for safety.
