quick rear main seal question

well I'm doing a rebuild and I'm getting all new stuff and I don't know what all to get for the rear main seal stuff.

is it just a rear main seal(metal piece)......the lip seal for it....and 2 gaskets? what else?

You keep the metal peace it has a paper gasket behind it. so the seal and the gasket

thanks man, so I keep my rear main seal(metal piece)...and just get the lip seal and 1 gasket or is there 2?

one gasket and one seal. the gasket just goes between the block and the plate

oh okay thanks for clearing that up, so I'm looking for a rear main seal to put into the metal thing?....I just found out 7 bolts use rtv no gasket.

Yeah extreme will have the seal and gasket.

sorry, I just edited the post before you sent that, So is there no gasket or does the 1g one fit my car, I'm confused
