Quick question: would wrong spark plug gap cause a no start?

Would wrong spark plug gap cause a car not to start?




i have a N/A talon and the gap it at .35 and its supposto be at .44 would that cause the car not to start?


it fires up almost but dosent could that be the problem?

It should start, but run poorly you have other issues going on , spark fuel and compression

yeah i did i tested everything yesterday and everything came out okay


so you dont think the plug gap could cause this? it wants to start but it dosent completly
im pretty stumped on the problem it only fires up with starting fluid

thats the only way i can start it on a cold start , afterwards it drives fine

only hard to start on cold starts like it wants to fire but it dosent completly untill i put starting fluid

So you have fuel, spark you checked for compression, the battery, the coolant temp sensor, the starter, is cold, the power transistor unit, loose or frayed wires at the coolant temp sensor on the throttle body, any of these things can cause a no start. Fuel pump relay is tested, the mpi fuse, ignition fuse on the battery location is good. Correct So many variables, pick one then rule them out as you go. It may take time.

sorry i was at school and didnt reply i really appreciate your feed back, i did find something weird going on my CTS only reads 3 volts with the key on would could be the cause and no ressitance.

never mind it read 2.77 ohm and its 3 degrees out its pretty off
what could be the cause?
