Deep Water,
West Virginia
So it seems the rear mounting ear on my block was broken off. Luckily someone already welded a piece of bar stock on, ground down to fit just about perfectly. I was impressed. Weld looks like it will probably hold.
Problem is that the hole isn't large enough to accommodate the dowel. I've slowly been drilling it out and have worked up to my biggest bit, which still isn't big enough. So here's where someone with a motor laying around can help me. I don't have access to my car right now and want to get right back to work when I finally can get to it. Can someone please measure the inner diameter and depth of the dowel hole? There's one on the front, and one on the back.
Thinking it's close to 9/16" diameter and about half an inch deep. Thanks!
