Hello all,
Ive been building a 1991 fwd turbo talon that i got almost a year ago and am about ready to fire it up. Put a lot of time and effort into the build (and a good bit of money to boot) The car started life as a rolling shell with just a bottom end and i have have basically put a whole car together. It has been a great project and im am very ready to drive it. My problem is that when i purchased a transmission for the car, it never came with a bracket for the trans mount, the bracket that bolts to the transmission it self. I went to a local junkyard and purchased a bracket from a 90 and it did not fit. I guess it has to use a bracket from a 91-94. My question is will a bracket work from an auto car or a n/t car? Ive found an n/t bracket from a manual 91 talon online and i was wondering if it would work. I dont want to purchase another wrong bracket. If anybody could help me and maybe even give me the bracket number im supposed to have that would be great.

Thanks

Are you asking if the bracket is in upside down? I don't think you can put it on upside down. It's the bracket for the transmission mount. As in the mount that attaches to the passenger side of the car.

MAke sure you have the correct mount for your awd car i learned the timing one is the same on my nt and my awd.

Oh i see fwd in build but tsi on your profile. I would look for a fwd mount for your setup five speed get one for that or a auto look for one that is correrct. Seems easier than to find one for a manual or auto.

For sure you have to get a turbo FWD mount. I did a full swap in my old 92 that started as an N/T 2.0. Also make sure you use all 4 bolts around the bell housing, I personally only ran 3 before I swapped the car and it will only be a matter of time that the bell housing will crack. You may know that already but just telling you if you didn't. As far as a 90 the mount should still work if it was a fwd.
