Quick Engine Transmission Question

I didnt know what any of these were called so my searching was difficult
I need to know if a transmission from a stock 420A motor would work with one of the turbos or anything in the campatible depertment

The stock 420a is rated at what 120 hp max..The stock turbo is rated at 210 ish..What does logic tell you here.

is there a way to tell the difference in transmissions? and is there a name for all of them, and can you use a turbo transmission with a 420a motor?

Sorry to be an A hole dude..I'm semi irritated right now..Not sure why.

The motors are flipped 180 degrees from eachother..So mounting would be a PITA, if possible.

Are you in need of a tranny..Auto or manual?Why not just rebuild with upgraded parts.

im looking at buying a 96 eclipse that had a 420a and they were going to swap it for a turbo but never put a turbo in it, im doing a little reseach in case they started a swap and changed the wire harness and put in a turbo trans, to see if im going to just replace the stock motor or finish the swap

So they started the 4g63 swap..With new mounts, the wiring harness everything?

Ok then it's possible..But If the mounts were not done, and you cant do the rest in your garage or shop..I would stay away from it..And save your money for a turbo model.

Well anything is possible with enough cash or knowhow.But ^ This is why.

This is actually rather simple. One way to check is to look at the VIN # on the transmission. The 10th digit is the year the transmission was made for. The code goes as follows.

Nope. Chrysler trannies wont bolt up to a 4G63 application - totally different animal.

The manual FWD F5M33 series and the AWD W5M33 series are what's needed for the 4G63 turbo setups.

Lotsa major work (and dough) from a 420A to 4G63 conversions, esp when the chassis wasn't built for turbo configuration.
