Quick motor mount question

Okay guys, so long story short, my buddy drives a evo.
He came across a DSM, 96 GSX, he traded his s10 for the GSX without a motor.

We bought a TSI parts car and took the motor and tranny.
Then scraped the car.

Now; His friend is being a prick who he traded his s10 for the Gsx too.
He won't give us the crossmember till end of week, well tomorrow is suppose to be extremely nice in pittsburgh and I'm doing the motor swap outside..

Should i wait to get crossmember or can i drop the motor and bolt it up to the two mounts and the back roller? and then put crossmember in later and bolt her up to the front??

Lemme know whatcha guys think

Hell yea I'd do that. You can always jack up the motor a bit for the front roller later. It'd save time just doing it like you said and adding the other mount when you get the crossmember

Yeah, I usually do the front mount last, I usually put the bolt through it, and then the cross member up.

I literally just got done dropping in my motor, and if I were to have one off willingly, the front is my choice

Wow what a friend Man if I could say names but I wont. If your friend has the cash upgrade all your mounts. There should be a shield with the crossmember and hopefully the "friend" has the bolts if not go to your local junk yard maybe pick and pull they give military discount

its going to be his DD.. i just became good friends with him.. all his friends suck and never help him and he deserves to know not all friends are liek that.. plus i wanted a new project and more experience =)
