on the 97+ cas it has that deal that needs to be attached to the cam that the sensor reads well I'm putting it back together and i need to know way it goes on since it can be rotated 180 degreees. Does bigger side go to the sensor or the smaller side closer to the sensor.

thanks!

Anyone?

The answer *may* be posted elsewhere, but the answer is right there in the Factory Service Manual . . .

Hope this image helps, I've highlighted the 'gaps' in Red.

For those who may be color blind, the 'LARGE' gap should be the one with the paint marking and should be facing towards the pick-up sensor when #1 is at TDC
I know this thread is really old school but does anyone have a definnitive answer to this yet???I've checked every single post I could find but it was a no go.....

Could somebody with a 97+ cas please put their motor to tdc on the #1 piston make sure all timing marks are lined up and remove the 3 bolts holding on the cover to the cas and take a picture or the orrientation of the metal part that slides onto the cam??? It can be switched 180 degrees...It has no markings...

There are countless threads about this topic and nobody came out with an answer.......So somebody grab a camera and take a pic or write up a detailed explanation thanks....
