Ok, here is the deal.
Timing Belt broke on my 91 laser RST. So instead of spending the 250 bucks at the machine shop to get the head fixed, I opted to by a used one.
So I get the head off of a 91 mitsubishi gsx, and I put the cams from the old head into it. (it didn't come with cams). When I turn the cams to see if all of the valves work, they hit each other...the intake and exhaust valves.
Now not knowing a whole lot about this engine, I put the question up to you guys. Is that ok. I mean, is that normal, that the cams will push the valves out to the point that they hit each other? If not, do the cams not fit the gsx engine?
I thought that all the turbo engines were the same for the first gens atleast.
Thanks ahead for the help guys.
