It actually turned out a little different than I thought it would have, I've been thinking about putting one on my 1G for awhile now. Doesn't look bad though, very nice.

when i take it out on my weekend ride ill take a side profile shot. It looks pretty good to me. I dont have the rims on anymore so it looks pretty stock. Its on the car ### i ride on sundays not because im cool to have a rack. I dont want to dent up the new camry, and the trail head can get muddy here in FL after a hard rain so its AWD FTW.

Hope you actually use it. I see it in town for civics like crazy and it's driving me nuts. I'm pretty sure they don't even use it. I have friends talking about how they want one and it looks good this and that. But I know they don't use it at all, just for looks...yuck. I have never seen one on any car with a bike or some sort of stuff on top of it. My cousin has one on his subbie but he actually goes snow boarding and bike riding.
Out of the blues with no pun intended. Is there some that is better then others???

i would personally love to find something like this for my talon. I treck up to the mountain 4-5 times a month during the winter and early spring months to board. As of now i can only take one other person cause i need to fold a seat down for the boards to fit. If i could put 4 boards up top and take 2 more people that would be awesome, it would cut down on gas and pay for itself for sure in one season!

Thank you some people dont read or cant read. Just ### it doesnt look cool doesnt mean I cant have it. The bike and myself get muddy and dirty. I have a trunk rack but it blocks my vision plus part of the rack rests on the rear glass and im weary about it busting the glass. Last time I mounted the trunk rack on the camry i had to buff out the rear bumper as the bike was rubbing and I didnt know. I only drive the talon one day a week. On sundays when i hit the trails.

As long as people use it. I remember my VW friend dragged me to a VW meet and I started convos with most people who had roof racks. Most of the time, went like this..

Me: Nice rack, do you snowboard?
VW: No
Me: Oh, what do you use it for, then?
VW: Nothing.
Me: Ah, I see.

People there were pretty d*ck too. My friend was there for the first time, didn't really know anyone(just had bought his GTI) and not one person tried talking to him, checking out his car, nothing. I know when I go to meets where there are DSMer's, they always want to talk about one anothers car, as do I.

I was wondering the same thing, everything looks to be Yakima to me.

The towers and the cross bars. Its a "cargo carrier" that costs like 19.99 or something. The fairing fit on perfect. The bike rails needed a wrap of electrical tape around the bar to be sturdy. I just got back from a trip to nashville, 8 hours each way with both bikes on top and only had one problem, one of the rail clips came up and the bike started to wiggle.
The wheels are temporary. I sold my 17s to a local for more than I had in them new 2 years ago. I needed something to put on and these wheels were beat, so some quick paint and they look better

Any details on what parts you used and how you got it mounted?? I've been interested in one since I bought my Talon since damn near none of my more out-doorsy stuff fits in the hatch.

I looked into getting a yakima rack a while back. These are the basic parts you need for our cars.

48" crossbars
Q-towers
Q46 Q-clips (vehicle specific clips)
44" fairing (optional)
Locks (obviously prevent theft)
Q-short roof stretch kit (only needed for something big like a kayak)

This is what I got off of yakima's website.

I also looked into the Autozone rack that was posted earlier. Autozone sells two different "cargo carriers." One is $19.99 and the other is $44.99. They both looked the same to me so im not shur of the differences between the two.
