quick knock sensor question

The connector for my knock sensor that connects it to the harness is broken so can I just bypass that connector and just splice the wires together? I assume so but I don't know if the connect contains a resistor or anything like that.

Yea you can splice them, basically just cutting the connector out. Of course the best thing would be to get a new connector put on.

This. If it's possible/practical check the local junkyards for a connector to snip off, it'll save many headaches in the future.

Yes, you can hardwire like your saying. You can go to the junkyard though and pick up a spare.

Ok I can see how that could be a headache if I just hardwire it and need to move the harness to the side or whatever.

Check the classifieds. Every now and then someone is parting out the connectors of their engine harness
